Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. The singer combines soul gospel jazz with R&B in a distinct mixture. She's appeared on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine's given the name of Denise White. While she resides in Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at churches. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B entertainment scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan; it has since been remixed numerous times by artists and is an integral part in her live show. Her voice was also added to the music of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was commissioned as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who performed on stage in the production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007 she was approached by Tyler Perry to be the director of choral for the production. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
